Faith does not reside in men.It only ‘comes by the word’you must have’heard twice’.The first time, physically and the second time, spiritually: “Once has thou spoken twice have I heard.”
We are too independent on what we hear from our church pulpits, some of which might build up fear and discouragement rather than faith and boldness to declare our freedom. We are too independent on those we believe to have special power to speak to demons to leave us alone, while we go home and cross our legs and sleep on,without knowledge.
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge. And their honourable men are famished, and multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure, and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” Is. 5 vs 13-14.
God has clearly told us in the above scriptures that even honourable men can go into captivity for lack of knowledge. It is not because there are too many demons in the city, or occultic men in the house where we live, but,for lack of knowledge. It takes an in depth knowledge of a person to really trust that person. And so it is with God.Many of us cannot believe Him or trust Him,because of our poor knowledge of Him.I can hear David say:”And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou ,LORD ,hast not forsaken them that seek thee”. PS 9 vs 10
And Daniel added,”…the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Dan 11 vs 33
The cheapest weapon against the spirit of unbelief is the discovered truth. This knowledge must be in totality, not half, not partial.
