How do I know is the Holy Spirit speaking to me.

Text 2 Peter 1:19-21

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place,until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;knowing this first,that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation,for prophecy never came by the will of man,but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

One of the ways the devil is robbing the church of its power is to make believers to be in douth if the Holy Spirit is talking to them.Doubt was the first arrow Satan threw at Eve,that brought humanity to where we are today;struggling to follow God.

It is the same strategy he is using to make the Church powerless,by making the people not to believe that they could hear the Holy Spirit.The question is,if you don’t hear the Holy Spirit,how do you serve God effectively and operate in His power?

There would not have been the Bible you are reading,had the writers doubted hearing the Holy Spirit.Our text says,’they were moved by the Holy Spirit.’Doubting hearing God robs you of the authority and power;watering down it’s impact.

Beloved,once you can be sure of your relationship with Him,God the Holy Spirit,then you know He speaks to you.Then,be bold to declare,and you will experience the power of transformation.

TO KNOW THAT HE SPEAKS TO YOU.

1 Be sure that you are born again( Jn.3:5-6,Rm.8:14).

2 Know how to yield yourself to Him (Rm.6:16)

1. When you receive inspiration as a child of God (Job 32:8;33:4).

4 Be sure you are baptized with the Holy Spirit(Lk.24:49,Acts 1:8;2:1-4:3:6)

1. Be sure He is in You (Jn.14:16-17,1 Cor.7:40).

Be sure You are talking about the things of God (1 Cor.2:11).

7 Make sure you are living a holy life (2Peter 1:21).
